The William M. Shinnick Educational Fund is a permanent endowment to assist worthy young people. Who otherwise would be unable to secure a college or post high school education.

The Fund is administered by a Board of Trustees in accordance with a trust established by Mr. William M. Shinnick, one of Zanesville’s greatest benefactors.

It was Mr. Shinnick’s desire that money be loaned to students of Muskingum County, with repayment guaranteed by the parent or guardian.

The final decision regarding each application for a loan is made by the Board of Trustees. The decision is based upon the student’s financial need, scholastic standing and general qualifications.
